We are seeing a full-time reliable, detail-oriented Painter Shop Lead join our Painting division.

The Paint Lead is responsible for coordinating daily painting and coating operations to ensure high‑quality finishes, efficient workflow, and adherence to production schedules. This position provides hands‑on leadership, supports team development, enforces safety and quality standards, and works closely with supervisors to meet customer and organizational expectations. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Previous experience in painting and powder coating preferred
  • Support day-to-day paint shop performance
  • Knowledge of paint system controls, application equipment, curing ovens and filtration systems.
  • Working knowledge of painting department processes and principles, including modern coating technologies.
  • Strong leadership skills with previous supervisory or team lead roles and demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Lead and supervise a team of 6-8 painters, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality workmanship across all projects
  • Coordinate project schedules, prioritize tasks, and allocate resources effectively to meet deadlines
  • Prepare surfaces through masking, sanding, and other prep work to ensure optimal paint adhesion
  • Apply paint using hand tools, airless paint spraying equipment, and power tools for smooth finishes on various surfaces.
  • Work with other departments as needed
  • Attend daily production meetings and follow daily production schedule
  • Work closely with Paint Division Manager
  • Assist Manager with disciplinary actions as needed
  • Any other duties assigned

  • Demonstrate leadership ability preferred
  • Ability to read job travelers, work instructions, and quality specifications
  • Commitment to company safety, quality, and continuous improvements
